Getting to the airport

If you live around Killea, Derry or Letterkenny, skipping airport parking entirely is often the win — especially for Belfast International.

Derry / Londonderry → Belfast International (BFS)

Aircoach route 705X is the direct coach. Belfast International’s own ‘by bus’ page calls it the only direct service connecting the airport to Derry/Londonderry. Coaches use Foyleside Coach Park in Derry and Belfast International Coach Park, Bay 3. Aircoach was built on the former Airporter business (BBC, 2022).

Letterkenny → airports

Aircoach 705X does not list a Letterkenny stop on the timetable page we checked. Typical pattern: local bus or lift into Derry (Foyleside), then Aircoach 705X for BFS, or continue to Belfast for BHD connections. Always check current Local Link / Bus Éireann times before you travel.

Translink airport coaches (NI network)

Translink runs airport coach services to Belfast International, Belfast City and Dublin Airport from towns across Northern Ireland. Tickets online or at airport ticket vending machines (Grand Central, BHD bus stop, BFS bus stop). Rail passengers from stations north of Antrim (including Derry~Londonderry) can add a £2.20 airLink ticket for Ulsterbus Belfast International service 109a.

City of Derry Airport (LDY) and Donegal Airport (CFN)

Both are small enough that most locals drive or take a taxi. LDY sits on the A2 at Eglinton (BT47 3GY). CFN is at Carrickfinn. Confirm taxi numbers on each airport site before early/late flights.
